Scarlett Johansson is an American actor and singer born in New York City in the United States on the 22nd of November in 1984. Her acting has earned her acclaim across a wide range of genres including period dramas, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson is the daughter of a filmmaker and an architect. She was raised by New York City. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. As a young girl of just 7 year old, she began making auditions for TV commercials. Her interest in acting grew quickly, and she was shortly thereafter to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the year she turned eight old, Johansson starred alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway musical. At the age of nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was later seen on screen in Just Cause, but she made her debut with Manny & Lo, a film about orphaned siblings who flee. Her next film won the attention of critics for her character as a teenage girl who had a life-threatening accident The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention for her role as the cynical teenage exiled Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Her most well-known role is playing Nell Jones (on CBS' famous show NCIS Los Angeles). This award-winning actor was a part of the main cast. Aside from appearing in the production, she's also an accomplished actress on stage. She is known for her amazing performance in plays such as Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her path into the world of entertainment at an early age. While she was still a young child Smith was interested in the field of acting. Smith's parents supported her in landing her first acting role in the age of six. She was in a Dannon yogurt TV commercial. Like many other actresses starting out, she decided to perfect her skills in the field of theater. She would work in different USA productions, while also performing on stage in the company of Wildflower. She attended the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
